It is important to identify the cause of insomnia before starting a treatment. Using the wrong treatment will not solve the problem. The most frequent cause of insomnia is stress and anxiety. Some natural therapies may solve the problem or help to do so.
Here is a short list of nautural treatments. Among these, Ayurveda, using Shirodhara therapy, is completely harmless. It improves the quality of sleep
in patients suffering from insomnia, and also in healthy people.

Meditation: excellent for dealing with anxiety or chatter (non-stop brain-talking). The more serious the meditation routine, the more effective it will be.
Physical Exercise: let your body be tired at the end of day. Do Hatha Yoga, aerobics, Judo or any exercise you like. The best option is do your daily work yourself, without the help of a machine. Walk to your office and nearby places, cleanup your house, maintain your garden…
Creative Hobbies: Be creative. Spare a few minutes for painting, gardening, cooking, listening to classical music and all those activities in which your mind feels happy.
Acupressure / Acupuncture: This can help, but it should be practiced only by experts in acupressure or acupuncture.
